Τα Ξύλινα Σπαθιά (Ta Ksilina Spathia, meaning: The Wooden Swords) were one of the most famous greek rock bands. The band's original lineup consisted of Παύλος Παυλίδης, Βασίλης Γκουνταρούλης, Πάνος Τόλιος and Χρήστος Τσαπράζης. Formed in 1993 in Thessaloniki releasing their first album Ξεσσαλονίκη. In 1995 they recorded their second album "Πέρα απ' τις πόλεις της ασφάλτου". In 1997 their 3rd album "Μια ματιά σαν βροχή" is released. In 1997 they were invited by MTV to have a concert in the HQ Club in London, further expanding their fanbase! In1999 released the EP Τροφή για τα θηρία After celebrating the new millennium the band created their 4th and final album called "Ένας κύκλος στον αέρα" in 2000. The band split in December 2003 after releasing their first and only Live album. In 2005 released the album "The Best Of" Most of the band's members continue working on music through different projects.
