THE9, also known as THE NINE, was a Chinese girl group formed by Youth with You 2, the third season of Idol Producer, a Chinese survival show series by iQiyi on May 30th, 2020. The group consisted of nine members: XIN Liu (刘雨昕/劉雨昕), Esther Yu (虞书欣/虞書欣), Kiki Xu (许佳琪/許佳琪), Yu Yan (喻言), Shaking (谢可寅), Babymonster An (安崎), Zhao Xiaotang (赵小棠), Snow Kong (孔雪儿) and K Lu (陆柯燃K/陸柯燃K). On August 10th, 2020, the group released their debut EP 斯芬克斯X謎 (Sphinx X Mystery). On December 25th, 2020, they released their first studio album 虛實X境 (MatriX). On June 9th, 2021, THE9 released their second EP RefleXtion. On December 5th, 2021, the group released their graduation EP THE NINE.
