T.Blues Mob is a band from Tbilisi, Georgia, which plays its own uncompromising version of blues based and hard-driving rock. From the very beginning the name of this band stood for class, since it was formed by one of the best rock, blues and jazz musicians of Georgia, who had long established their high reputation among both music lovers and fellow musicians. The repertoire of the band consists of both their original re-workings of standard or lesser known traditional blues songs and the groups own rock and soul compositions driven by improvisory and energetic performance style. T.Blues Mob was formed in 1998 by three former members of the famous Georgian group Blues Mobile Band - Koka Tskitishvili, Lasha Topuria and Davit Manizhashvili, now augmented with experienced and brilliant guitarist Tamaz Tkhinvaleli. During three years of their last stay with BMB (1994-1996), Koka Tskitishvili, Zaur Shavgulidze and Gia Salagishvili toured extensively in European countries (Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Turkey) as well as in Russia, participating in various notable blues and rock festivals, such as Jelling festival, Nordalsfestival, Kloften festival, Nibe festival, Samsofestival, Kalvorock, Djurs Bluesland, Midtfyns festival, (all in Denmark), Monsteras Festival (Sweden), Nottoden Festival (Norway), Antalia Rock (Turkey), etc, where they shared the stage with such living legends and stars as James Brown, Bon Jovi, Ry Cooder, Robert Cray, Animals, Alvin Lee & Ten Years After (joint concerts in Moscow in 1995) Uriah Heep, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Luther Allison and many others. During this period BMB released two cds ("A New Day Yesterday" and "Out In The Blue") on Netherlands' Provogue Records, the latter featuring compositions written by Zaur Shavgulidze. Since the very beginning of its career, T.Blues Mob has been concentrating its concert activities mainly towards European countries, most notably Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Norway where the group members already have large groups of devoted followers. The group's performances in these countries were always very highly praised in local press. During the period between 1998-2002, T.Blues Mob took several tours of Denmark, Germany and Norway where along the regular concert dates (about 150) the group also participated in a number of large rock, pop, blues and jazz festivals such as Midtfyns (Denmark, 1998), Nottoden (Norway, 2001), Kloften (Denmark, 2002), Loftoden (Norway, 2002), Harley-Davidson Rock Festival (Denmark 1998, 2002), etc. Among other participants of the above festivals were such internationally renowned artists and bands as Robbie Williams, Deep Purple, Walter Trout, Omar & the Howlers, Gatemouth Brown, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and others. During the Denmark-Norway-Germany tour of Summer 2002, T.Blues Mob had about 40 concert appearances. The band as well recorded live CD of their appearance at Harley-Davidson rock festival which was released by Danish label Lundgaard Records in 2003. In the season of 2003 the band played about 30 dates in Denmark and Norway as well as appeared such festivals as Harley Davidson Rock Festival, Aalborg Blues Festival (Denmark), Bogday Blues Festival (Norway), along such renowned artists as Otis Grand, Omar & Howlers and many others. In February 2004, T. Blues Mob toured Germany and in March-April completed their tours of Denmark and Norway, including live dates together with Magic Slim and Omar & The Howlers. In February-March of 2005 the band again toured Denmark and in May visited Moscow, Russia for a 10 concert tour together with Blaze. During July – October of 2005, T-Blues Mob went to Sweden to play at Flashboda Blues festival and then went back to Denmark for appearances at Skandeborg Rock Festival, Aalborg Jazz Festival and joint concerts together with Guy Fortsyth and Omar & The Howlers from Texas, USA. In total, about 50 concert and festival appearances were done by the band in 2005 in Western Europe. In 2006, T-Blues band released a new studio album, toured Scandinavian countries and in September, successfully appeared on Kohsamui Blues Music Festival in Thailand. In 2007, the band again toured Denmark and Scandinavia as well as played number of exclusive concerts in Georgia. In 2008 T-Blues Mob plans to record a brand new studio album as well as well as tour Russia, Germany and once again, Denmark.
