About Sulima
Sulima is the solo project of Russian Alexander Sulima, born 1977. Sulima is a Moscow based psychedelic trance producer, known for his solo project Sulima, as well as for being one of the artists behind renowned duo Manifold. Other than that, he is one of the most well-known audio engineers in Moscow. Sulima is signed to Blitz Studios, a Russian-Aussie label run by DJ Dharma Kaya. Alexander started his solo project in the early 90s, at the beginning of the techno rave revolution. As various styles of electronica developed, Sulima tried producing various styles of music, including hard tech, gabba/hardcore, electro-rave, industrial, acid house, but eventually found his preferred style of electronica in psychedelic trance. Between 2000 and 2002 Alexander recorded two promo albums, and one of them caught the attention of Edward Cybered. As a result the two musicians decided to join forces and in 2003 the Manifold project was born. Two critically acclaimed albums have been released since, one in March 2005 on Déjà Vu Records and the latest one in September 2008 on Sunstation Records. However, Sulima's solo project was never abandoned. Today Alexander still writes music as Sulima, exclusively for Blitz Studios.
