About Strokkur
The idea of forming STROKKUR came from Anders Johansson (ex Hammerfall, ex Malmsteen) . His sons Kalle Johansson and Niklas Johansson carries on the musical legacy that the Johansson family have become known for and they are highly skilled musicians and songwriters. They decided to create a unique band with focus on Nordic melodies and more straight forward industrial kind of metal with lots of hooklines. In summer 2016 Anders called leadsinger MikeAndersson (Cloudscape, Fullforce) up and asked him if he would like to join the band. Mike and Anders have known eachother for around 10 years and have done a few albums together in the past plus they’re both members in Fullforce. Anders idea was to have classical metal vocals the way Mike sings combined with some screams here and there by Kalle in a music genre that normally is known to have quite generic vocals. STROKKUR have recently finished the recordings of their debut album and the future is as of yet not written but, they’re aiming to find good partnership in the music biz to get the album released and get out on stage performing live shows. The journey has just begun…
