About Souly
Souly (born May 1997 as Luca Carlo Politano) is a German singer, rapper, and songwriter known for blending elements of contemporary R&B, trap, and emo-rock into emotionally charged and atmospheric music. Raised in Neuenkirchen in Münsterland, he sang in a gospel choir and later studied psychology at the University of Osnabrück, where he began experimenting with hip-hop before moving to Berlin. He gained recognition with the EPs Engel fliegen (2021) and Teufel fallen (2022), followed by his debut album Ich wünschte, es würd’ mich kümmern in March 2023. A deluxe edition appeared in June 2023 and reached No. 31 on the German album charts. His second major project, Bossbaby Tape, was released in 2024, and the album traence followed in 2025. Souly frequently collaborates with producers such as Matt Mendo, Waterboutus, Stoopid Lou, and Never Old Ben. Notable tracks include “Diamantstein,” “Schweden,” and “Bundeswehr.”
