About Soul Rebel Sound
Both Selectors Nikfyah and Strugglah discovered their love for Reggae and Dancehall at the end of the 90’s. Inspired by their first Reggae CD’s, attending concerts and DJ tapes, their interest in this music culture grew. To quench their thirst for music they constantly bought new records and kept themselves up to date in the scene. In the following years their cases got filled up with tons of vinyl and a few dubplates. After numerous appearances both Selectors were able to gather valuable experience and acquire the skills necessary at the mixing console. And so today, the two are a fine-tuned team which complements itself perfectly behind the turntables and knows how to uncover the enormous music territory, from the deepest Rootsreggae, to Dancehall, to Soca. Everyday Soul Rebel is fueled by a constant interest in the Sound System culture and in an endless search for the current “Big Tunes” and the rare classics, in order to infect all the soundboys and the dancehallqueens with the Reggae virus!
