"Man, DORK is probably the most amazing band ever!" exclaimed your mother. Since 2001 DORK has been hard at work, writing catchy songs, and touring all over the North America. Their touring has been highlighted by appearances on the Van's Warped Tour. In 2003, DORK was able to work their way on to one Warped Tour date. In 2004 and 2005 they conquered the entire tour. Warped Tour Founder Kevin Lyman was quoted in the Denver Post calling them "The ultimate DIY kids". They were also featured on WarpedTour.com in 2005 calling them the hardest working band in the history of the tour. This hard work has paid off in various ways! One, DORK has been confirmed for all of The Vans Warped Tour 2006(3 years in a row for those who are counting) Another, was being listed on "Hot 100 Unsigned Artists of 2005" by Music Connection Magazine! You can also hear 3 DORK tunes in the major motion picture "American Pie Presents: Band Camp" Since June of 2004, DORK has sold more than 2000 copies of their E.P. "Dorkside of the Moon" probably because it is the most amazing piece of music ever created. Until they released their follow-up E.P. "The K.R.O.D.Father" The E.P. was released in June 2005 and sold over 2000 copies in just two months. They have sold over 7000 cds to date! DORK's recording career has also been highlighted by work done with legendary, multi-platinum producer Gexa-X (Primus, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Face to Face, Sonic Youth, Meredith Brooks). DORK released a full length record in May/June 2006 and includes Stephan Egerton of "The Descendents" on some guitar work! In their hometown of Denver, DORK sells out show after show. Clearchannel invited DORK to play the huge KTCL Big Adventure opening for Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Pennywise, Unwritten Law, Bowling for Soup, and Goldfinger. They have also open for acts such as Yellowcard, Story of the Year, 30 seconds to Mars, Lucky Boy's Confusion, and Zebrahead. DORK was named best punk rock act in Denver by The Westword Newspaper in 2003 and 2006. They also won the overall vote in 2006 and were rewarded by rocking the Pepsi Center in front of 5000 people for the Dew Action Sports Tour! Of course, none of DORK's success would be possible without the help of their street team, The Nerd Herd.
