About Slowe

Raised in the Welsh border town of Chepstow and now based in Bristol, Slowe has been quietly carving out her place in the UK’s alternative soul landscape. Her self-produced debut, Where The Mind Wanders, saw support from Gilles Peterson, Robert Elms (BBC Radio London), Don Letts (BBC 6 Music), BBC Introducing, KCRW, NTS, Soho Radio, Balamii, and Dummy Mag, among others. A self-taught producer and multi-instrumentalist, Slowe’s music thrives on texture, fusing the classic songwriting of her early influences like Laura Marling and Jeff Buckley with the soul and jazz-inflected production of later inspirations, including Erykah Badu, J Dilla and Tyler The Creator. Collaborating closely with musicians from Bristol’s vibrant jazz and neo-soul scenes, her sound sits somewhere between timeless warmth and late-night introspection; music for the headphones, for long drives, and for moments of stillness.
