And of course as one third of the team behind ‘Marka’ – the undisputed drum & bass champion track of 2011, Skeptical has attained a legendary status amongst the ranks of D&B producers. ‘Marka’ was a tour de force of ominous, intensely atmospheric production that goes off on the dance floor. Skeptical is a producer who can stimulate your cerebrum with his innovative bass structures and put an exit wound in your brain with destructive DJ sets that have made him a Renegade Hardware favourite. Only the biggest of things are to be expected from a producer who has only just begun to give the drum & bass public a tantalising idea of his musical mettle. 2)Nick Baxter AKA Skeptical has been producing music for over 10 years, starting off as a rave DJ in the early 1990’s around Scotland. Skeptical’s unique and personal style is built upon experience’s through life, expressed thoughtfully through varied genre’s to create a truly individual, textured and organic feel. With a cool collection of some truly inspirational and freely downloadable, now classic downtempo and ambient EPs such as “Recent Thoughts”, “Better Days”,”Society” and a special charity EP for charity entitled “Song for Dylan”, Skeptical has made his mark on modern electronic music and continues to do so. Working with a large amount of both underground independent artists and record labels on various collaborations and remixes, Skeptical has also made a name as one of the most sought after producers and remix artists on the net scene. Skeptical also launched his own label in early 2006 named “Skeptical Productions” which took onboard other inspirational artists from both in the UK and across the pond in the US.
