About ShowStripSilence

Showstripsilence were born in the late winter of 2003 by an idea of two guys, Gento and Wallace, who experienced the breaking up of Straight-Edge Hardcore band XconsequenceX. In that time Gento, who was a member of a ska-core band called Eight Mokers, felt the need of express himself with a sound more oriented to rock’n’roll: this feeling was shared by Wallace, that in the meantime was a member of another band, Pop-Grunge band Livida. After exhausting search, the former member of Hidentity, Ben, a drummer, was added to Showstripsilence’s line-up and then Lollo, a former member of Shotgun Suicide, as guitar player. Some lucky performance later (under the name of Showstripsilence), all the members understood that something important was being created: then their unanimous decision of quitting their own previous projects to devote themselves to the very new band, Showstripsilence. A short while afterwards, Showstripsilence became a fine choice inside the Italian underground panorama. At the beginning of 2005, Showstripsilence decided to shut themselves up in a studio to record their first promo-cd which includes 5 track of pure hardcore’n’roll. This first record give them the possibility to become well-known by a domestic audience and to set up a business relation with their current label record Graves Records. This co-operation started with the inclusion of a Showstripsilence’s record in the first compilation produced by Graves Records, “Raise From The Graves Vol.1”. The track selected is Evilness, that holds the power of hardcore in conjuction with a bent for rock’n’roll. Evilness is a song about a subject that Gento, the band’s songwriter, has at his heart: the man’s foolish which brings people to organize fights between innocent animals in the name of god of money. Afterwards, Showstripsilence’s treaded the most important boards in the area not only by carrying on a lot of activities and shows. In March 2006, the co-operation with Graves Records found expression in their first Full Lenght record, Monsters and Humans: Horrorific & All New! The album themes range over the animalism and the unbridled passion for horror cinema, by pointing out wicked aspects of the modern world. It will be released by Graves Records labels and will be distribuited all over the world thanks to PHD-PROSONIC and will be supported by a deep sales promotion and tour in Europe.
