It began as the year 2006 was ending: Chris Reichert (vocals) and Marc Schmierer (bass) were creating an idea began. Immediately they moved out to search for other creatures of the night for starting the project. And they found Andreas Kammerlander (lead guitar), Andreas Beck (rhythm guitar) and Thilo Scheuring (drums) "Scherbenpalast" Lyrics written in german language, dark but harmonious melodies, influences from the Gothic-rock and metal sector, as well as isolated sounds from the medieval determine the sound of the Gothic-Rock band. A first adventure was coming at spring of 2007 as the 5 had a gig in front of a domestic audience who had fun and they wanted more. ... and so on. Meanwhile, the 5 figures of the night made music with groups as Berlin's Gothic-rocker "Scream Silence" and "Seelenzorn", Medieval contemporaries, such as "Ignis Fatuu" and "Remember Twilight". Performances with metal bands like "Bleeding Red" or Electro band "Waiting in Vain" lead the band in various cities in Germany: "Aalen, Meiningen, Stuttgart, Auggen, Leonberg, and more." Also they played at the biggest Medieval-Festival in Europe with Bands like Faun, Qntal or Haggard and as "Headliner" for the Weltentor-Festival. The Mini-EP was produced in the Lia-Studios in the beggining of 2009 and the first longplayer will be recorded in February 2010. So what can be taken, if "Scherbenpalast" crosses your way? ear-flowing Melodies, lyrics, dealing with the issue of the Seven Deadly Sins, mystic and fantastic deal, accompanied by the harmonious arrangements, which arise visions and images in the mind of the listeners. "And so we see the creatures of th night disappearing into the dark fog - waiting for new acts and Kirchheimer adventures of the Gothic-rock group Scherbenpalast"
