About Samosad Band

Samosad Band was founded by Alexander Ulaev (a.k.a. Sasha U), based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Dub, jazz, experimental, ambient. In one’s time when the project " Samosad Bend " consisted practically of one person - keyboard player-virtuoso Sasha Ulaev who personally invited to joint performances his friends-musicians from Petrozavodsk, St.-Petersburg and Moscow. From the beginning of 2004-th the project has turned into the present group - "Samosad Bend ", has found constant performers which act at present festival. “Dub” as the common denominator which has allowed to musicians organically to be united in a single whole. In opinion of the capital press, music of “Samosad” “immersing the listener into the atmosphere of entertaining travel over the inmost recesses of one’s subconsciousness sounds extremely naturally and vividly ". This is surprising!
