About Sajjan Raj Vaidya

Sajjan Raj Vaidya (Nepali: सज्जन राज वैद्य) is a Nepali singer, songwriter, guitarist, composer and producer based on New York City. His music is a symphony of expressive vocals, intricate metaphors and anomalous song structures arriving at the crescendo as a complete musical journey. Sajjan first began publishing his songs written in his native language, Nepali, and then continued on to release his songs written in English. His genre, as the artist has often described it, is ever-changing. "My songs are simply products of my experimentation and my attempt to learn new music and grow," he explains. Sajjan first released his work publicly in 2014, with the release of his Nepali single 'Aaja Matra'. His first major release arrived in 2016, with the release of 'Hawaijahaj', which was later followed by other major releases 'Chitthi Bhitra', 'Mooskaan' and his most recent release 'Hataarindai, Bataasindai'. "Hataarindai, Bataasindai" was released alongside a music video that focused on equal rights for the LGBTQ community, targeted primarily for the Asian audiences where identifying with LGBTQ is often treated as a foreign concept.
