Syameel Aqmal bin Mohd Fodzly or better known as Syamel is a rising singer, composer and lyricist in Malaysia. He is popular with Hidup Dalam Mati, Lebih Sempurna and Aku Cinta (duet with Ernie Zakri). Syamel is also a former Akademi Fantasia 2015 contestant. He appeared as runner-up in the competition. Syamel was born on November 26, 1993, raised in Kuala Lumpur and received education at the Bandar Tun Razak Religious School. He is also a student in Business Administration at KLMU. His hobby is sports and he likes playing futsal, table tennis and badminton. His favorite singers are Bruno Mars and Marc Anthony. Prior to her professional singer, she had been busking in front of the Sogo Supermarket, KL. His artistic talent is inherited from his grandfather, who is also one of the well-known headwind bands in the 90's. Syamel career started when he was elected and accepted into Akademi Fantasia 2015. He was almost out of the eighth week concert but was rescued by the AF2015 jury chief, Dato ' Ramli MS at that time and managed to step into the final concert, as well as crowned runner up in the program.
