In The Netherlands, SOON is an Amsterdam-based duo comprising of Liú Mottes, a guitarist whose work has brought stardust to Dutch alternative pop acts like Blue Crime and New YX, and musical polymath Jochem van Tol, who plays drums and keys, often all at once. The pair have been playing on and off for two years or so, working up enough material to make an expansive and sometimes dreamy self-titled debut album that nods to the avant-garde and experimental rock and film music. Their self-titled début long player, issued by Subroutine Records in February 2022, was preceded by the single, 'Komodo Dragon' in December 2021. 2. In Belgium, Soon is a band that put out three albums on Funtime Records: 'Under The Wire' , 'Please Accelerate' and 'As of Yet'. 7. In Japan, the band Soon released a 7" on Squirrel Fox called Cigarettes & Cofee in 1998, an EP on Squirrel Fox called Nothing Gonna Change Us in 1999, a split with Ohno Express (ex-Hooton 3 Car and pre-Driveway Speeding members) on Crackle! in 2000, and a full length album on Squirrel Fox called Kill The Hipsters in 2003. They feature ex-members of the band Blew. 8. In France, Soon is the name of a shoegaze band.
