About SLOANE

Sloane is a synthpop/dance duo formed by Andy Mockler and Drew Tekulve their freshman year at BYU in 2010. They delve into music reminiscent of that of the 80's new wave and dance scene. They are heavily inspired by bands like Real Life, Trans X, Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark, New Order, and modern bands such as Tesla Boy and Miami Horror. Their name is derived from the character, Sloane Peterson, in the popular movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".
