Silvie Paladino, born 18 August 1971, is an Australian singer (predominantly musical theatre and light opera). In 2001, Silvie toured with her one-woman show Silvie Paladino Sings Streisand for which she was nominated for a Green Room Award. Silvie released a live CD of this performance. In 2011, Silvie released her first solo studio album, On My Own. Silvie began singing at the age of nine and enjoyed early success, winning several major singing competitions. As an eighteen year old, Silvie was offered the role of Eponine in Les Misérables. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the 1991 Green Room Awards for her performance. Silvie continued performing the role for a further twelve months touring Australia and New Zealand to critical acclaim. She received similar recognition in 1992 when she performed the role on West End in the London production. Silvie is regarded as one of Australia's most versatile and talented entertainers. She has regularly performed in the annual Carols by Candlelight television broadcast, which has brought her into millions of Australian households.
