About SEX-ANDROID
SEX-ANDROID is a band signed to the ART POP ENTERTAINMENT label. SEX-ANDROID was formed in 1995 but since then, only the vocalist remains as an original member. The line-up now is: YU-DAI (Vocal), TφRU (Guitar) and JUNRO (bass). Back in the old days, SEX-ANDROID sounded pretty much like a typical punk band very influenced by Sex Pistols, as the band name suggests. Later on, around 2002, TφRU joined as guitarist and changed the band's sound for good by combining their old-school punk style with jazz and jangly pop influences, creating a more folksy, lilting tone without distancing themselves from their punk roots, differentiating SEX-ANDROID from other indies visual bands. Lyrically the band is typical of the genre in that they focus on the juxtaposition of innocence and corruption with a tone of nostalgic sentimentalism. Also, the band adopted the concept of "medical rock", hence why they're always wearing doctor coats.
