About BY-SEXUAL

BY-SEXUAL was a visual kei band from the early 90's. BY-SEXUAL formed during April 1987 in Osaka, Japan. By 1990, they were signed to Pony Canyon, a record label who is now known for the Japanese pop groups W-inds., FLAME, and LEAD. In February 1990, they released their first single, "So Bad Boy". From 1990 to 1995, they released eight full lengths albums, thirteen singles, and a greatest hits album. Finally in January 1995, Sho Yamanoi left BY-SEXUAL. But that didn't stop the band. In 1996, they renamed themself to BY-SEX with Ryoji "Ryo" Okamoto on vocals and guitar. In 1998, Naoyuki "Nao" Fujimoto left the band and the band disbanded shortly afterwards. Sho did have a solo career and then later retired from the music industry. Nao went on being a support drummer for machine, and later joined nitro and then food,. Nakata Band. Ironically, Ryo and Hiroyuki "Den" Oonishi ended up joining in all the same bands together. In 1999, they formed Zigzo with Testu (ex-Malice Mizer and ex-nil) and Sakura (ex-L'arc en Ciel and now in S.O.A.P). After being a popular band in the indie scene, Zigzo disbanded in 2002. Afterwards, Ryo and Den joined test-No.. In 2002, they released another greatest hits album due to the popularity of Zigzo.
