Rusty Adams was born and reared in Sarasota Florida . Proud of his Apache heritage. He 'll tell you about his childhood. His mama a seamstress who with the help of five or six other ladies ,made and repaired tents for the Greatest show on earth. His older sister Mary, also a seamstress , designed outfits for members of the circus. His Grandpa Bacon owned saw mill . Grandpa plowed with a team of mules and used to pay him and his best friend Ellsworth, for breaking up clods of earth as they trailed behind in the furrow. Grandpa Bacon taught him to catch alligators, moccisans, and rattle snakes. Rusty sold the snakes to a lab which made antivenom. Grandma Bacon cooked and kept food on the table for anyone who might be hungry. At about age sixteen Rusty Joined The Greatest Show on Earth , billed as " CO CO " the Clown. an understudy of the great Emmett Kelly. Rusty launched his Country Music career at the WWVA Wheeling Jamboree, Wheeling West VA . From there. He played the Richmond Va . Barn Dance as " Rusty Adams / KOKO the clown . His next stop , Nashville Tennessee, Grand Ole Opery . Where his rendition of " LITTLE ROSA " brought a standing ovation. Rusty Adams, one of the Legends of Music Row, is loved and remembered by friends and fans alike. He and his wife Bonnie (Branson } Adams, also a songwriter met on Music Row in 1972 .Together they continue songwriting from their Sleepy Hollow home in east tennessee.
