About Ruen Brothers
Ruen Brothers is British siblings duo of Henry (aka 'En) and Rupert (aka Ru') Stansall from Scunthorpe. Emerging in 2013, the duo won fans young and old with their sound reminiscent of Roy Orbison and The Everly Brothers. As youngsters, the brothers found their “punk rocker” dad’s record collection comprised of everything from Muddy Waters and Van Morrison to The Sex Pistols. By the ages of eleven and twelve they were gigging at local pubs and clubs, covering tunes the audience would always know by Orbison, Chuck Berry, and more. Following college, they moved into a studio apartment in London dedicated to making a career out of music. Emerging in London in 2013 with their rockabilly-tinged single "Aces," the brothers caught the attention of Republic Records. From there, they moved to the States, where they recorded their 2015 debut EP, Point Dume [American Recordings/Republic Records]. Produced by Rick Rubin, the tracks featured Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith on drums, Chavez’s Matt Sweeney on guitar, and Ian McLagan (of Faces) on keyboards. After relocating to Los Angeles, they recorded their debut album, 2018's "All My Shades of Blue" (produced by Rick Rubin). In 2020, the duo contributed the song "Break the Rules" to the soundtrack of the Netflix coming-of-age drama The Half of It. In 2021, they released "Ultramodern", followed by 2023's "Ten Paces".
