About Roel Dieltiens: Ensemble Explorations
Roel Dieltiens studied the piano for seven years, before taking up the cello at the age of 15. He plays not only baroque music but also the romantic repertoire and the contemporary repertoire at the same attention and with stylistic insight. As a soloist, he performed with conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe, Pierre Bartholomée, Frans Brüggen, Jan Caeyers, Josep Pons, Peter Maag and more. He also teaches the cello at the Lemmensinstituut (Leuven) and is giving masterclasses all over the world.
