About Rocket 75

Rocket 75 was formed by members of Nervous Boys, Supernatural and The Hufters, notorious bands from Den Bosch with a well-earned reputation for their energetic live shows. They make an infectious mix of all the unpretentious that guitar music has to offer, whether it’s garage, rockabilly, hardrock or punk. All these elements subtly find their way in Rocket 75’s repertoire. They have a nice casual approach to rocking with a tight drive, without too many ambitious chord changes. Singer-guitarist Dirk van Veldhoven still embraces the juvenile thoughtlessness and freedom that belong to rock 'n' roll, his partner in crime Fon Versteeg provides the music with raw and gritty bass lines while Hans Jacobs accentuates the songs with tight and technically sound drumming. Meanwhile, the recurrent background vocals are becoming something of a trademark of the band. Alongside their own material you may expect the occasional cover, including energetic versions of The Cramps' "Can Your Pussy Do The Dog?" and The Sonics' "She's A Witch”. After the release of debut album "Just Left The Planet” in the summer of 2009 the follow-up “It’s Alright” saw the light of day in the fall of 2011.
