About Robin O'Brien

Robin O'Brien is a singer-songwriter out of California known best for her unique vocals. Robin creates rhythms and background textures with her voice to frame her gorgeous melodies and intense, personal lyrics. Robin was born in Cook County, Illinois and attended the Berklee College of Music before raising a family and settling in California. She studied harmonic singing with David Hykes and collaborated extensively with keyboardist David Mitros (their improvisations can be heard on the Hypnotique streaming radio station). A sampler EP of Robin's extensive catalog of songs was released in 2006 (FORE, luxotone records). Eye and Storm, the first full-length release selected from Robin's "private stash" of recordings, was released on Luxotone records in April, 2008. "The Apple in Man" followed in 2010.
