About Rising Power
There are two bands going by this band. 1.) Rising Power is an Italian heavy metal / hard rock band from Pergine Valsugana, Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy. They formed in 1981. They were originally called Metal Power. There is a bootleg live tape recorded in Trentino in 1984 that is circulating. It has 9 tracks and it was recorded while they were going by the name Metal Power. The current lineup consists of Luca Ruffini (keyboards, vocals), Mauro Borgogno (guitars, vocals), Marco Gadotti (bass, vocals) and Bruno Holzer (drums). They write songs about life, rock and feelings. The officially recorded two full-length albums and one live album. They were signed to the record label Gamma. 2.) Rising Power was an American power metal band from Long Island, New York. They formed in 1983 which featured former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy in the earliest days of his music career. They released their one and only album in 1984 called "Power For The People".
