A one-off collaboration between pop legend Paul McCartney and modern-day mainstays Rihanna and Kanye West produced the acoustic-pop-soul hit "FourFiveSeconds," released January 24, 2015. McCartney and West had previously worked together on the track "Only One," which made use of a melody that Macca wrote after his daughter Mary was born in 1969. Rihanna was featured on Kanye's 2010 hit "All of the Lights," and would later appear on the notorious single "Famous" released in 2016. Ye appeared on the remix of Rihanna's "Diamonds, " released on November 16, 2012, and both artists were featured on the Jay-Z track "Run This Town" off The Blueprint 3. "FourFiveSeconds" was a hit critically and commercially upon release, peaking at #4 on the Billboard Top 100. It was Rihanna's 26th top-10 hit, and was Paul's first appearance on the top-10 in 40 years.
