About Rhett Forrester

Rhett Forrester (September 22, 1956 - January 22, 1994) was an American musician, the lead singer of New York-based band Riot from 1981 until 1984. With Riot he recorded two studio albums (Restless Breed - 1982 and Born in America - 1983) and one live album. After Riot, he performed on Jack Starr 's Out of the Darkness, and put out two solo albums - Gone With the Wind (1984) and Even the Score (1988). Forrester was also involved in numerous projects and bands like Rachel, Badlands, Scarface, Dr. Dirty & Mr. Dirty, Black Symphony, Thrasher (USA), Masi, Dogbone. Rhett Forrester was murdered on January 22, 1994, at the age of 37, in Atlanta, Georgia, when he refused to give up his vehicle in an attempted carjacking. Dogbone's eponymusly titled album that was recorded with Rhett Forrester back in 1992, was finally released in 1996, two years after his death.
