About Renko

Renko is a name of at least two artists: A pseudonym of a Japanese doujin ongaku singer-songwriter and member of circles: Orange★Jam, Felt and Illusion Sonic. Sites: YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitter and About.Me/RenkoMatic (official). A Dublin, Ireland, rock trio formed in 2000, with Shay Wall (vocals, guitars), Mark Corcoran (bass, backing vocals) and Mark Gargan (drums). They débuted with engineer Dave Slevin and TV Will Kill Us All (Oct 2005). Their influences include a rich vein of 60's Detroit rockers (e.g. The Stooges and MC5). Incendiary live shows generated a steady live following catapulting them into the 2005 Irish Charts, with Top 40 releases Hats Off To John Lee (a groovin' bluesy John Lee Hooker dedication) and Heaven Is A Long Wait (2:50 of pure hard hitting stompin' rock). TV Will Kill Us All closes with the feel good pop rock I Adore You and the beautiful country ballad The Fate Of The Free World Depends On You (PL.).
