Renan Scharmann (born December 10, 1999) is a Brazilian singer and composer from Cananéia, in the south of São Paulo. The singer began his career by posting some original songs on YouTube, and over time, he gained recognition from the public and other artists. His songs vary between indie pop and MPB. Even with little time on the road, the artist already has great experience in live performances at festivals and concert halls such as Casa Natura Musical (SP), where he opened the show for brazilian singer and songwriter Tiê, who discovered his work through the Internet. The singer's tracks have already been listened to more than 300,000 times on streaming platforms, and one of his tracks (Confuso Assim?) entered the ranking of Brazil's 50 Virals for a week on Spotify. On November 11, 2022, he released his debut EP (extended play) Pier, which has four tracks and two music videos. In November 2023, the song I Still Think About Us went viral on TikTok and currently has 12K videos on the platform. On January 5, 2024, he began to promote his second EP, ILHA, with the release of the lead single Cananéia, a tribute song for the island where he lives.
