About Renaissance Man
Being born white, male and scandinavian prepares you for a bleak future. However two Helsinki DJ's Downtown and Jaxxon made it through the jungle; although without house music these guys would already be dead or in lower management. Hailing from the new breed of Helsinki club survivors they bless the world with a mixture of all things kick drum and a bassline fused into their concept of contemporary dance music. As a start they treated Helsinki with their monthly night NOW! bringing over such contemporaries as Boy 8-Bit, Radioclit, Duke Dumont, Mowgli and Zombie Disco Squad. That led to a fruitful production collaboration from which "Spraycan", the first track they produced together, created immediately a fuzz behind the scenes of club land and started getting support from the likes of Switch, Duke Dumont, Brodinski, Riva Star and their fellow scandinavians Tomboy & Fredski of Tartelet Records. It is now being released in early 2009 on Switch's influential Dubsided imprint. And a lot more is to come. Art, science, languages, house music. also known under the name Amnesia Scanner
