About Rebekah Todd

Rebekah Todd is from Benson, North Carolina, home of Mule Days. She began writing and performing her material seriously in 2006 with Nolan Smock of Nolan Smock & The Charming Youngsters. The two toured heavily around North Carolina until disbanding in '07 to pursue other interests, but not before recording a self-released record (available at shows or via Rebekah's MySpace) documenting the duo's chemistry which was often self-referenced as "aggressive acoustic soul". Local talents John Harrell and Ben Evans also appear on the record, playing banjo and percussion, respectively. After a trip to South Africa, working with the now-defunct performance ministry group 13th Floor, Rebekah began recruiting a full band in the winter of '08. The line up currently includes Nathaniel Woods on bass, Tyler Hayes on guitar, and Ross Jernigan on drums. The music could be described as blues-inspired folk rock. The new lineup is currently recording a new album to be released in late 2008. http://www.myspace.com/rebekahannemusic
