About Ratbatspider
After playing in various metal bands over the years, Doug ,Jack, Ryan,and Chris wanted to do something different. All four guys are insane Horror/Sci-Fi/Giant Monster/independent movie junkies, and Ginormous Misfits fans. So the logical choice was to play some horrorpunk. After getting back in their rocket ship, and leaving the Angry Red Planet, they started jamming some Misfits covers once returning to Earth... and Ratbatspider was born. Then they got to work on some originals, and in February 2014 they finished recording their debut ep "Night Of The Sharksquatch" at Andyland Studios in Bay View,Wisconsin. The setlist of any Ratbatspider show consists of 70% Misfits covers ,and 30% originals. They play the songs in rapid-fire succession, rarely taking a break. They have the visual element as well,light up bass drum,light up drumsticks,face paint, and various other elements, to bring you a nonstop visual/sonic beatdown, that will keep you moving. Featuring members from Put Her In The Trunk, Floating Face Down , Gothic Groove, Play Dead, Domestic Violence, and Descending Darkness, Ratbatspider is no stranger to the music scene.
