Røgsignal is one of the first bands mentioned when Danish jazz radio talks about the new sound of jazz from Denmark. The station even chose ‘Bodies’ (2019) as ‘Album Of The Week’, highlighting the colourful, pulsating stream of indie beats and shimmering soundscapes. Though the band is based in Aarhus, the roaring bass lines and ethereal melodies of electric guitars and fender rhodes are deeply rooted in the understated melancholy of rural Denmark.
