About quinn
quinn, now known as osquinn, and formerly known as yungx$t, and p4rkr is a rapper, singer, and producer. She also releases under the alias cat mother, however she has come to release fewer songs. She was already well-known in the underground community (mainly on SoundCloud), however, she initially blew up with one of her singles, "i dont want that many friends in the first place" in 2020. This came to be her most popular song, with over 26 million streams on Spotify. In January 2023, this song was removed from the platform along with much of her earlier discography to work on a "newer, fresher sound" she's more "comfortable with". In June 2023, quinn tweeted that all of her deleted songs are returning to platforms. quinn often makes music that approaches rap music with a fusion of electronic/underground rap influences (such as 100 gecs, Sybyr, Bladee, and others), and up-pitched “nightcore” vocals. On February 25, 2020, quinn would officially release her music onto all platforms, including Spotify (in which she has accumulated staggering amounts of streams), after only releasing music on her SoundCloud page for multiple years. The first song she would upload to all platforms was "a punk song about sobriety and paranoia." Throughout early 2020, she would release two EPs, a night in virginia and bleh. As of April 7, 2021, quinn announced that she retired the "osquinn" musical project. She then moved onto her new drum and bass project, cat mother. On September 17, 2021, quinn seemingly came out of retirement with the release of her debut album, drive-by lullabies. Not even a month later, on October 8, 2021, she would release an instrumental EP titled i'm definitely getting sued for this (beat tape no.1). On February 7, 2022, quinn yet again released another EP titled dope shit, consisting of an intro and two songs called "the fun song and i'll see you at school tomorrow." Later that year, she would release her second, self-titled album, Quinn.
