About Polémix & la Voix Off
Polémix & la Voix Off are two French DJs from Tours, France. They mix together speeches from well-known French politicians, mainly right wing. As they mix, they turn the sense of their speech making them say funny and cruel things with irony, in a way to reveal their doublespeak. e.g. In their track "tous les tizenfants", they used a speech of Sarkozy's making him say that "every useless litlle children will be recycled and suppressed". This track was supposed to be released on a compilation by Les Inrocks magazine but wasn't because of a juridical counsellor who claimed that this track was "remenbering nazi's crimes". Polémix & la Voix Off recently released an album called "La Prési-dance". Its cover art was drawn by French illustrator Luz who works for the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. They also host a weekly radio show on Fréquence Paris Plurielle that deal with the topics of the articles from Le Monde Diplomatique newspaper.
