Alongside a wide range of notable side-projects Pjoni’s solo path has proved to be one of his most satisfying. These electroacoustic country crossings know no boundries and bind to no particular (sub) genre; Though Pjoni’s music is ‘experimental’ he is completely at home crafting these complex landscapes. Cello compositions grapple with the tangle of drone-ambient spaces which transfer the sound into the territory of minimalism, dirty electronics, and even into the dark corners of alternative hip-hop. As if the aforementioned genres have always flirted with each other.
