About Pigmeat

A Dutch two-man band from Friesland, in the north of the Netherlands. They have had a good live reputation for over fifteen years, with short up-tempo songs which don't last longer than 3 minutes and are made up from an original mixture of folk, bluegrass, pop and country. The members of Pigmeat (not Pig Meat btw) are Jankobus Seunnenga and Sytse Haima (real Frisian names). They play many instruments. At the album "Oomph" (1993) for instance, they played "C & W guitar, classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, banjo (6-str. & 5 string), mandolin, fiddle, bass-drum, big frum, tambourine, tringle, kuttepiel, sticks, hammer, gong, vibra-slap, cow-bell, quiro, rattle, chicken-shake, organ, saw, harmonica and heavy weather" as well as doing all the vocals.
