About Partibrejkersi
Partibrejkers is a garage punk band from Belgrade, Serbia. Sometimes cited as the founders of YU garage rock. It is difficult to categorize them as their influences are diverse, such as the The Stooges, MC5, early Rolling Stones or New York Dolls - all spiced up with a healthy dose of blues, rhythm and blues and rock and roll. Partibrejkers were formed in 1982 and released their debut album in 1985 in a two guitars + drums + vocal set (no bass), produced by Koja of Disciplina Kičme. To date they have experienced numerous changes in their lineup. The mainstay of the band are Zoran Kostić Cane (vocals) and Nebojša Antonijević Anton (guitar). They have received steady critical acclaim over the years and are received well by audiences in former Yugoslavia, necessarily because of their music, but also due to their anti-war activism with the Rimtutituki project.
