Γιάννης Πλούταρχος (Yannis Ploutarhos) (or Γιάννης Κακοσσαίος (Yannis Kakossaios), as is his genuine name), was born on 18 December 1970 in the small village Μαυρόγια (Mavrogia) outside of Ορχομενό (Orchomeno). He remained there until the age of 16, then he went to Athens in order to it realise his dream: become a singer.
