About Ottopasuuna

Ottopasuuna was formed in the early nineties by Petri Hakala, Kari Reiman (who played in Värttinä in 1989-2002), Kimmo Pohjonen and Kurt Lindblad. Their eponymous first album made them the first of the "New Finnish Folk" groups to have a CD released in the US. 1st lineup (on the album "Ottopasuuna"): Petri Hakala - mandocello, mandolin, guitar, octave mandolin Kurt Lindblad - flute, whistle, torupill, clarinet Kimmo Pohjonen - melodeon, harmonica, gogo marimba Kari Reiman - fiddle 2nd lineup (on the album "Suokaasua"): Kimmo Pohjonen Kari Reiman Petri Hakala Kristiina Ilmonen - percussion, tin whistle Janne Lappalainen - bass clarinet, octave mandolin, tin whistle
