About Frigg

There are two bands named Frigg: (1). Frigg is a multitalented Finnish-Norwegian seven who produces fresh Scandinavian folk fiddling accompanied by fretted instruments, upright bass and endless energy. The style they represent is a mixture of Kaustinen (Finland) and Nord-Trondelag (Norway) -traditions flavoured with a taste of americana and irish folk music. Frigg has been chosen as "The Band Of The Year" 2003 of Kaustinen Folk Music Festival. http://www.frigg.fi (2) Frigg is also the name of an experimental german Band. They released four albums: Isn't it a Tango (99 Rec., 1994) Døenerfressing Wøman (99 Rec., 1995) Dust Diary (99 Rec., 1997) Brecht (Knitting Factory Records, 1998) "Brecht" features american guitarist Elliott Sharp and british singer Phil Minton.
