About Oscar Issac
Óscar Isaac Hernández Estrada, known professionally as Oscar Isaac , is a Guatemalan-American actor and musician. He was the guitarist and vocalist for the Miami, FL-based ska/punk band The Blinking Underdogs before enrolling in Julliard to pursue acting. Since finding success in film and television, he has continued to write and perform music, most notably in Joel and Ethan Coen's 2013 film Inside Llewyn Davis, in which he played the title role of a struggling musician in New York City's 1960's folk scene. Isaac was born in Guatemala to a Cuban father and a Guatemalan mother. However he was raised in Miami, Florida. He is also of French and Israeli origins.
