The band's name was taken from a biography of Dee Dee Ramone. Bands music has elements of heavy metal, sludge, doom metal, black metal, progressive rock, noisecore, noise, gothic rock, march music, minimalism, ambient, neoclassicism, industrial music alternative rock and neofolk. Lyrically they deal with apocalypse, nihilism, sadism, suicide, violence, mysticism, perversion, war, misanthropy, suffering, religion, and mental health. The lyrics often contain a pinch of sarcasm or irony. The first album Live At Colonia Dignidad was released by Cobra Records, in 2009. All the other albums have come out from Svart Records.
