About Nyam Nyam

Postpunk trio from Hull, UK, that formed in 1979. Their debut single, 'When We Can't Make the Laughter Stay' (1981), earned them attention from New Order's Peter Hook (who would produce their 1984 single 'Fate/Hate', released on Factory Benelux) and Beggars Banquet affiliate label Situation 2, who released their sole album Hope of Heaven (1984) and their final EP 'The Architect' (1985). As the Vaughn Oliver designs of their Situation 2 may indicate, their sound is generally comparable to the 4AD bands of the era. LTM's 2012 reissue of Hope of Heaven includes most of their single and EP tracks as well.
