About Nuova Idea
Originating in Genoa, NUOVA IDEA (NI) is a group that has gone somewhat unnoticed in the Italian progressive scene, despite having three albums in the market. Musically, NI has more guidance than other rock groups from Italy, with a voice that reaches a border on hard rock, but without ever losing the essence and the Mediterranean influence of the classical groups this side of Europe. Hard guitars, combined with arrangements of violin, sax and flute and a remarkable intervention by the Hammond organ, give us an excellent reason to enjoy the music of this group, although the voice, at times overly rough is not liked by many. His third album, "Clowns" is considered by many his masterpiece.
