Igor Vasilev, credited as Novogradska (Macedonian Cyrillic: Игор Василев; born June 22, 1978, in Skopje, SR Macedonia, SFRY) is a Macedonian composer/musician. Is an artist who creates and performs since 1993 under different names with different groups such as Balkan Express(1993-1997, alternative rock) 08.1995-'Ajde da Letame' is published(released) on a mutual compilation 'Nashinski Zvuk-1st year'.1996-a video for the song 'Grad'.A theatre group B7-this group was made up of several artists,each a professional in his field- painters,dramatists,musicians etc, and all of them were involved in the creation of the projects.The premiere of the first project by this group called 'Budenje Sedum' took place on the 6th of April in MKC.Igor Novogradska in this project has the role of a composer,actor,director in some of the scenes and he also played contrabass and sitar.'Macedonia 2000' is opened with the song ' Faces' by Novogradska.Since 1998 Novogradska composes electronic music and has interesting live acts.He plays on different exotic instruments with electronic music as background.Accompanied by the most important dj's in Skopje,Novodradska plays bass,sitar and didgeridoo in clubs. Novogradska has worked with Al Frose and they together composed the trilogy 'Betonski Snishta'.This trilogy was released on the occasion of the jubilee edition of the magazine 'Margina'.Novogradska has written music for theatre such as ' Asvaltirani Shumi','Tetovirani Dusi', 'Budenje 7','Zad zatvoreni vrati', 'Drakula','Blue room' etc.2004-plays bass guitar in Mizar,2007takes part in the solo project of Alexander Veljanov called 'Porta Macedonia'.His remix 'We can't turn back' was part of the double edition of' Porta Macedonia'.His songs are on different compilations among which the song 'Koj go spasi gradot' on the cd' Nov Bran'. He is most famous for his work with Milčo Mančevski on the soundtrack to the film Mothers. He collaborated with Macedonian singer Karolina Gočeva on the hit song Ajde da letame, which topped the national charts in 2000 and 2001. He also did music for the two commercials under the title "Macedonia Timeless," which were aired on CNN and many other television stations worldwide promoting Macedonian tourism.
