About No Smoking
There are at least two artists under the name No Smoking: 1. No Smoking was a post-punk band from Rzeszów, Poland, formed in November 1985 by Daniel Kleczyński (guitars, vocals) and Marek Kisiel (bass). The duo performed in live shows using a drum machine and keyboards previously recorded in studio by Luke Rędziniak. They broke up at the beginning of 1990 because of music differences: Daniel Kleczyński wanted to create a heavy electronic sound using sequencers and samplers, while Marek Kisiel wanted to play fast and simple guitar rock. So Kleczyński created Trumpets & Drums, and Kisiel joined the coldwave band 1984. 2. no smoking (written in lower case) was the solo project of chicas nitro's guitarist and singer Luciano Ramos, this project recollect all his early works from when he was 15 up to when he was 19 years old. The project concluded in early 2024 with it's last release "insomnio, romance". no smoking draws several influences from bands like teen suicide, Horse Jumper of Love, Pharmakon, Daniel Johnston, Panucci's Pizza, Midwest Pen Pals, My Bloody Valentine, etc.
