The supergroup Nine Inch Noize consists of the American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails made up of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and the German electronic musician Alexander Ridha, known professionally as Boys Noize. These musicians had produced several previous collaborations; the Boys Noize Challengers (Mixed) (2024) remix album of the Reznor and Ross film score, Boys Noize being involved in the production of Nine Inch Nails's Tron: Ares soundtrack (2025), Boys Noize providing remixes for several songs on the Tron Ares: Divergence (2026) remix album, and Boys Noize supporting Nine Inch Nails on their Peel It Back Tour (2025–2026). The Nine Inch Noize act were booked to play as part of Coachella 2026, taking the Sahara stage on both April 11 and 18, 2026. Those latter two live collaborations had stemmed from the "creative fulfillment" Reznor had experienced working with Ridha on the earlier two film scores, and produced a desire for Reznor to express the band "in more purely electronic terms" in live performances.
