About Naked Raven

Naked Raven is a group of Australian musicians bringing classical finesse to an alternative, pop sound, with a divine blend of strings, percussion, piano, acoustic guitar, and vocals. Formed in Melbourne, in 1994, Naked Raven is unusual among Australian bands in that it spends much of its time touring Europe, especially Germany, where it has achieved a degree of critical acclaim and commercial success. The line-up of Naked Raven evolved during its early years, settling with lead singer, Janine Maunder, violinist Stephanie Lindner, and percussionist James Richmond as core members. Guitar, cello and occasional guests complete the line-up for studio and live performances. "Sunday Best" was released in 2008 to celebrate the band's 14 years of performing, recording and touring. The album is a compilation of favourites, re-records of old classic raven tunes, as well as brand new songs. Current touring line-up: Janine Maunder (voc., piano), Stephanie Lindner (violin), James Richmond (drums, percussion), Anne-Christin Schwarz (cello), Arne Jansen (guitar)
